What started with Travis and a food truck has grown into a brick-and-mortar BBQ joint built on real wood, real smoke, and a passion for doing things right.
Where It All Started
From State Route 272 to 272 BBQ
272 BBQ began with Travis and his food truck, serving the BBQ he believed in and building a following one plate at a time. But the story of 272 started long before the food truck. Travis was born and raised on State Route 272, making the number more than just a name—it’s a piece of home and the foundation the business was built on.
As more people discovered his food and the business continued to grow, the idea of taking 272 beyond the food truck became the next step. Turning that idea into a permanent restaurant meant bringing together the right people, resources, and experience. That’s when Travis was joined by Matt Brown and Logan Stark, forming the three-owner partnership behind 272 BBQ today.
Three Owners, One Vision
Different Strengths, Working Toward the Same Goal
Each owner brings something different to 272. Travis brings his culinary experience and passion for the kitchen. Logan, Travis’s longtime best friend of more than 20 years, brings experience in construction, design, customer service, marketing, and the overall direction of the business. Matt brings a strong financial and business perspective, along with his experience as a United States Air Force veteran.
Together, their different skill sets have helped turn Travis’s original food truck into the 272 BBQ of today—and continue to shape where the restaurant goes next.
